The bowl with the model number “198Z small” by Hedwig Bollhagen is known at the Marwitz Ceramics Manufactory not only as an orange bowl, but it is also the smallest version of the larger 198-A/B/C series. Characteristic features include the oval, cylindrical foot that rises about one centimeter upward and the equally oval bowl, twelve centimeters wide, with edges that curve slightly upward. Its simple concave-convex shape lends it an elegant lightness. Its simplicity makes it versatile. As a serving dish for olives or other antipasti, it is handy and smooth.
