Hedwig Bollhagen’s tin, model number “866,” captivates with its simple and understated form. The two-piece set—consisting of a container and a lid—is characterized by its straight, cylindrical body and flat, round lid. The artist has omitted any handles or grips. With a diameter of 13 centimeters and a height of six centimeters, the 440-gram tin is about twice as wide as it is tall. One thing is certain: this tin offers a wide range of uses. Whether as a candy jar or a storage container, the ceramic vessel with its lid is multifunctional. By the way, the jar with the model number “866K” is even available with a scented candle.
