Butter dish HB 497B

The butter dish with the shape number "497B" by Hedwig Bollhagen is the big sister of the smaller 497A. Like its little sister, it was designed by the Bauhaus ceramist Werner Burri. Characteristic features are the flat, rectangular plate, slightly raised at the edges, and the equally rectangular, bowl-shaped lid. At six centimeters high and twelve centimeters wide, the butter dish is twice as wide as it is tall. The Bauhaus proclaimed rule "form follows function". Of course, you can also keep liverwurst, cheese or whatever you enjoy in the 497A, but it is certain that this classic should not be missing on any design lover breakfast table.
