Form 624910 - Bowl 591
The soup bowl by Hedwig Bollhagen with the shape number "591" has been affectionately christened "ear bowl" by the employees of the Marwitz Ceramic Manufactory. The reason for this is probably the ellipse-shaped lug characteristic of this soup bowl, which protrudes outward about two centimeters on each side and also functions as a handle. One thing is for sure, with this grippy rim, no one will burn their hands when serving. Whether it's stock or semolina porridge, with a capacity of 0.3 liters, the 250-gram soup bowl is also just the right size. Deeper than a plate, shallower than a bowl, this bowl is three times as wide as it is tall, with a diameter of 16 centimeters and a height of five centimeters.
