Form 243020 - Pot 557
The teapot with the shape number "557" is the spherical sister of the rather angular 571 and 563. A characteristic feature of all three teapots is the ceramic strainer insert. With its dimensions - 15 centimeters wide and 14 centimeters high - and its capacity of one liter, the 557 is neither too large nor too small. The round, somewhat egg-shaped body and the upright, round, flat lid without a handle are formative. The side handle and the opposite, straight tubular spout with the drip-proof snout complement the simple, plain, but at the same time functional form. For this, with at the same time the highest level of artistry, corresponds to the ductus of Hedwig Bollhagen: Beautiful is what works.
