Form 133020 - Pot 503
For some, the elegant teapot with the shape number "503" is visually reminiscent of a lotus bud, for others it is more like Aladdin's magic lamp. For this reason, employees of the Marwitz ceramics factory affectionately refer to the 503 as the "Genie" teapot. With its dimensions (19 centimeters wide and eleven and a half centimeters high) and a capacity of 1.25 liters, the 750-gram teapot is already one of Hedwig Bollhagen's larger teapots. The bulbous body with the domed lid is formative. The handle on the side and the opposite, raised beak spout with the drip-proof snout skilfully round off the design. One thing is for sure, whether jasmine, matcha or oolong, tea from the teapot 503 tastes like from a thousand and one nights.
