The onion pot with the model number “549ES” by Hedwig Bollhagen is the larger version of the smaller 549DS model. With a height of 18 centimeters and a width of 19.5 centimeters, the 549ES onion pot is almost as tall as it is wide. A distinctive feature is the spherical, bulbous body that tapers upward. The conical handle on the domed lid elegantly rounds out the design. Thanks to the numerous, evenly distributed holes in the vessel’s wall—each about one centimeter in size—air can circulate freely.
