And with a capacity of no less than three liters, this tureen is likely one of Hedwig Bollhagen’s larger ceramic pieces. Characteristic features of the two-piece set consisting of the bowl and lid are the bulbous body that opens upward in a cylindrical shape and the mushroom-shaped, decorated knob on the flat lid. A small, semicircular opening about one centimeter in diameter on the edge of the lid allows the soup ladle to be left neatly inside the tureen. However, the lid is also available without the opening upon request.
