Jug 495 - Decor 057-7

The jug with the model number “495,” one of the first pieces in Hedwig Bollhagen’s 1937 collection, captivates with its clean, elegant form. A characteristic feature is the slightly bulging body in the middle with its wide, open neck. The semicircular handle, attached about one centimeter below the upper rim, and the diametrically opposite, outward-facing, drip-proof spout round out the timeless design. Measuring 27 centimeters in height and 13.5 centimeters in width, the jug is twice as tall as it is wide. And with a capacity of two liters, this jug is among the larger pieces in Hedwig Bollhagen’s ceramic collection. Today, a water jug belongs once again on every table of a family that wishes to combine sustainability with good design.
