The teapot with the shape number "501a" allows devotees of Zen to celebrate their relaxing tea ritual quite appropriately. With its dimensions (14 centimeters wide and eleven centimeters high) and a capacity of 0.8 liters, the teapot is neither too small nor too large. On the other hand, weighing in at 1.28 kilograms, it is probably one of the heavyweights among Hedwig Bollhagen's teapots. The shape of the somewhat Chinese-looking teapot is determined by the bulbous, spherical body and the round, minimally curved lid with the attached handle knob. The side handle and the opposite, elegantly curved spout skilfully round off the design.
