With the perfect, handmade sugar bowls by Hedwig Bollhagen we bring some sweetness into your life in a stylish way. Sugar must be kept, otherwise it will break. How could that be better than with one of our beautiful ceramic sugar bowls? HB cans meet all requirements for a decorative and practical kitchen accessory. In our Fayence, Purum, Ritz and Varius collections you will find sugar bowls in many sizes and shapes and numerous decorative decors. You can also combine the sugar bowls with other cans and dishes. A special highlight is of course the sugar bowl by Theodor Bogler. The Bauhaus ceramist designed his bowls as early as the 1920s, and since the foundation of the HB company in 1934, these timeless design classics have been hand-crafted in our ceramic workshops in Marwitz. The ceramic production of HB, Made in Germany, today represents the perfect symbiosis of everyday objects and artistic design. Unsere tägliche Glukose gib uns heute – Zucker gehört fast schon zum Leben wie das tägliche Brot. Serviert in einer Zuckerdose aus Keramik, die auch schon Großmutter zusammen mit einem Milchkännchen auf den Tisch gestellt haben könnte, gehört Zucker für viele Leute zum Kaffee dazu. Während man mit dem Löffel genüsslich im Heißgetränk rührt, plaudert man entspannt über den Alltag. Das soziale Ritual gehört für die meisten Menschen zu den Glücksmomenten im Beziehungsalltag. Das Kaffeekränzchen ist mitunter sogar wichtiger als die Flüssigkeitszufuhr für den Körper. Denn es schafft nicht nur Geselligkeit, sondern verbindet auch. Die Zuckerdosen von Hedwig Bollhagen sehen nicht nur äußerst dekorativ aus, sondern verströmen in ihrem Landhausstil weit mehr als einen Hauch Nostalgie. Die Keramikkünstlerin verstand es, Landhausstil und die Ästhetik des Bauhauses miteinander zu verbinden. In der Marwitzer Keramik-Manufaktur bei Berlin schuf Hedwig Bollhagen seit der Gründung 1934 neben Tassen, Kannen, Töpfen und Vasen spätestens ab 1958 auch ihre Zuckerdosen. Ihr Fokus lag dabei auf der Produktion von „Unikaten in Serie“, die von den fast 100 Mitarbeitern nach ihren Vorgaben produziert wurden. Auch viele Künstler aus der Bauhaus-Töpferei arbeiteten in den Marwitzer HB-Werkstätten und drückten der künstlerischen Arbeit vor Ort ihren Stempel auf, darunter Werner Burri, Charles Crodel, Waldemar Grzimek, Heidi Manthey oder Jürgen von Woyski.

Alles Zuckerdose

Nicht nur individualistische Fans des Tee-Rituals, sondern Kunden aus der ganze Welt wissen Bollhagens Zuckerdosen zu schätzen. Mit den formschönen Kandis-Behältnissen hat die Keramikkünstlerin ihren ausgeprägten Sinn für Qualität und Design einmal mehr unter Beweis gestellt. Einzigartig an den Zuckerdosen von Hedwig Bollhagen ist die liebevolle Herstellung von Hand. Jede Zuckerdose, die in den Keramik-Werkstätten in dem kleinen, brandenburgischen Örtchen Marwitz hergestellt wird, entsteht in bis zu 60 Handgriffen. Ob rote Blumen, blaue Bienchen oder Streifen in blau-gelb, auch die Dekore werden noch wie einst von Hand gemalt.
