Form 103110 - Small pot 579

Two-piece jug by Hedwig Bollhagen with shape number "579" consists of jug and lid. A round lid with a cone-shaped handle closes the upward-opening, spherically bulging vessel with a capacity of about a quarter of a liter. The overall height, including the lid, is just over ten centimeters; the diameter is about nine centimeters. The high functionality of the drip-proof spout and the elegant curved handle are in keeping with Hedwig Bollhagen's maxim while maintaining the highest level of craftsmanship. Beautiful is what works, that was the ductus of her work. Yet the seemingly simple, flowing form of the mocha pot is very demanding. After all, it needs just the right shape of base, belly and opening to be stable and sturdy while creating an aesthetic form.
