100 years Bauhaus in Brandenburg
Founded in 1907, the German Werkbund, like the Bauhaus founded in 1919, has not only influenced shape and design, but also our taste. The Werkbund set itself the goal of making available good quality, mass-produced goods available in a substantially profit-oriented industrial society. The Bauhaus, initially significantly influenced by the Werkbund, became the most important school for architecture, design and art in the 20th century. Its radiance reaches into our present. Three important names for the history of German ceramic design came from the HB-Werkstätten: Bogler, Burri, Bollhagen. For the Bauhaus anniversary year, HB-Werkstätten organizes exhibitions and lectures as a member of the Bauhaus 100 network. The series of events begins with the opening of the “Bogler - The Bauhaus in Brandenburg” exhibition, in the renovated rooms of the old turning shop from 25.03 till 10.11.2019.
